I'm delighted to announce that we have assembled some great prizes for this year's competition. The prize package includes valuable geospatial tools for mapping and exploration including high quality hand-held GPS units, NTS digital maps, compasses, and pedometers.

Last week I attended the Geography Teachers PD day hosted by Huron Heights in Kitchener.  It was great seeing so many geography teachers in one place!  It provided an opportunity to promote the OSMMC contest, but also to talk to teachers about how schools and universities can further work together to promote geographic and cartographic literacy.

The Map Drop Box is now open at Laurier - we look forward to seeing your maps!
